Getting an old name - Guild Wars Forums

First off hello I was looking to receive some help from anyone who has knowledge of my situtation. I started to play on my friends account and I created a character name, I decided I would just buy a new account so I deleted the name of that character I created off his account and tried to create the character on my account. It has said for the last day that the name is still in use but it's not... does anyone know how long that name is saved to the account before it's opened up for others to use it?

Maybe someone else has made a new character that has the same name.

Actually I figured it out... lets say you create a name Lord Lord and you delete it off one account, the name is still saved there UNTIL you make another character in it's place, I was able to use the name I wanted instantly on my account after I made a random character in the place of where my name was previously on my friends account.
